Size Comparison

Before installing our prototype cooler on one of our 2015 WRXs, we decided to take a few shots showing the huge size difference of our cooler compared to the stock unit.

And a couple shots that better show the massive increase in core thickness.

Now it was time to install this cooler into a vehicle and ensure that fitment was spot-on. Check out a few shots.

The Mishimoto cooler fit into place the same as the stock cooler! Because we extended the passenger side of the cooler, a new intercooler mounting bracket is necessary for proper support of the cooler. Take a look at the bracket we designed.

In the last few images you may have noticed our aluminum charge-pipe. This unit was designed in conjunction with our cooler. We will be highlighting the design process in the next portion of this article! Stay tuned for more!

  1. Estimated release date? And will you guys be working on a header? I haven’t seen anyone making a header for this car yet.

    1. Hey Greg,

Thanks for the interest! We are around 5-7 weeks from releasing this intercooler along with the charge pipe. We will be launching a pre-sale for these units within the next 2-3 weeks as well. Keep an eye on our blog for further updates on that!

      Thanks again!

    1. Thanks for the comment David! We are still fully testing our prototype units. We did see temperature improvements on both a stock vehicle and a slightly modified example (280 whp 310 wtq). Although power output remained around the same on the stock vehicle (with both the stock and Mishimoto cooler), we did see a nice increase on our tuned shot WRX. Keep an eye out for a full report, with plots, within the next few weeks.

      Thanks

    1. Thanks for the comment Chad! Our full testing report should be available by the end of next week. We will then be launching a pre-sale (pricing information still being finalized) for the cooler and charge pipe. We will be posting this information up here on the blog. Keep an eye out for updates!

      Thanks
      -John
